William E. Scheid CPA, Founder
Bill founded Scheid Deignan Brown PC, formerly known as Scheid & Company PC, Certified Public Accountants, in 1987. He has more than 45 years of experience in the areas of tax and accounting. He advises clients on tax, accounting, and business matters, including corporate and personal tax planning, tax return preparation, estate planning, business start-up, corporate acquisitions and divestitures, financing, and management issues. He received his BS in Commerce (accounting and business administration) at Rider University. He is currently licensed as a CPA in Massachusetts, and was formerly licensed in Maryland.
Beginning his career at Price Waterhouse, Bill spent 10 years in their Baltimore office as a CPA and member of the audit staff working with private and publicly traded companies. He worked in private industry for the next five years in the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. It was his experience in private industry that inspired Bill to establish Scheid & Company, where he could make a significant contribution to small businesses and individuals.
Bill is active in his community of Concord, Massachusetts, where he has been involved with Habitat for Humanity and Nashawtuc Charities. Bill has twice served as president of Nashawtuc Country Club.
